The Tagalog word "Minindal"
I was scrolling through my Facebook feed when this post caught my eye. At first, I did not know what minindal meant but of course, after a few seconds, I realized it was a Tagalized form of the Spanish word merendar. It was the first time I ever encountered this word because I am only familiar with the Filipino word meryenda. I'm curious if it can also become a verb by adding a prefix at the beginning just like meryenda.
Cebuano is full of Spanish verbs in the infinitive form like imbitar and salbar, and I think minindal is the only Spanish infinitive present in Tagalog or Filipino.
