14 Call Center Interview Questions & Answers

Image
The call center industry is one of the fastest growing in the country these days. As recently as ten years ago, there were only a few call center agents and the word call center was hardly ever used in the country. Today, almost every family has at least one member working in the call center industry. The reason for this boom is partly economics. In the Philippines, low paying jobs are very notorious and while call centers set up shop here because of the low labor costs, Filipinos decide to work for the call center industry because it pays higher than average wages. Consider this: if you are an average worker with an entry level position, you probably are getting paid seven to ten thousand a month; meanwhile, an average employee in the call center industry with an entry level position will get around fifteen thousand pesos a month, plus free dental and health benefits (HMO). Call centers also will pay your SSS (Social Security), PAGIBIG (home building fund), and PhilHealth (health ins

A Kid Do*a*d Tru*p

Recently, I posted a review of Carlo Ocab's blog. And no, the review is not at all just in response to his 'review me' challenge but a really sincere one. Hehehe... Anyway I received a thank you email from him just now. What surprised me about this email was his usage of the word 'po' which we all know is Filipino. I thought maybe he just knows this one Filipino custom and is trying to impress me. Hehehe... And then I went to his blog and looked at his About page. Alas! The kid blogger is apparently a Filipino! All this time I thought he was from the USA. I mean c'mon, a 13 year old blogger talkign about how to make money online? How can he be a Filipino with all the poverty, bad quality of education, and et cetera? I remember the first time I discovered Carlo's blog and found out that he was 13. It didn't at all surprised me because I thought he was from the USA. You understand that in the USA, there are all sorts of young internet geniuses. B

A Make Money Online Blog for Dummies... Finally!

I was browsing the net recently looking for blogs to exchange links with. Then I stumbled into this great blog of a 13 year old talking about how to make money online . In his Blog, Carlo talks about stuff like how to have a great forum, how to have many feed subscribers, and the like. He also offers AdSense tips and tricks and great word press themes. What I love about this blog is the fact that it is for dummies. Seriously! You won't find technical terms that are hard to understand. This blog is written by a 13 year old for a 13 year old! Hehehe... In the future, I hope to write similar articles in this blog. Right now I am going to apply the tips I got from Carlo's blog on my website  (now defunct).

Midnight Realizations

Last Wednesday was the first day of our night duty this week. I am so used to sleeping around 3 AM and waking up at 12 PM and so I found it hard to take a nap in the afternoon. I thought maybe the instructor would allow us to sleep. Big mistake! I ended up trying to stay awake from 12 AM Wednesday up to 7 AM Thursday. My first day was filled with ghost stories and girly screams. Don't know about the men. Were they as scared as the girls? Only they know. Hehehe... The second day of my night duty, I was more prepared. In fact sleepiness didn't kick in until around 8 AM the following day. During the second day of my night duty I had a lot of realizations. The instructor said something about some students being so angry with their parents for forcing them to take up nursing. A lot of what she said really hit me. She said that when you get to save lives, that's when you get to know what a nurse is really is for. Then at exactly 12 midnight, I went into realization mode

AdAuction.ph Review

After using AdAuction for around three days, I have concluded that it needs a lot of improvement. First, there are no pre set color palettes. This is a major no-no since not all people can mix and match colors. I used the image + text ads when i tested AdAuction. I think the image does not help at all in attracting clicks. The image is too small that you can barely see it. Another thing I don't like is the statistics. It is almost useless. You don't even get to see the number of impressions made on the AdaAuction ads. You only get to see the number of clicks which I am sad to say that is not quite accurate. In the ad set up process, I found an inconsistency in the color palette. Over all, AdAuction has so much potential. Tons of blogs out there and more than half of those are looking to make some cash. AdAuction has just got to be more flexible and feature rich.

A Useful Post...finally!

Today, I was pleasantly surprised to learn that somebody wrote a link to this blog of mine. As all of you may know my loyal readers (yes, all three of you), the only links I get are those from link exchanges. Hehehe... So this is the first time that somebody linked to a blog psot of mine that they actually found useful. Imagine that. Anyway it was around two days ago that I wrote about Auction.ph's AdAuction. The minute I received an email (or spam) from AdAuction.ph informing me of their new 'innovation', I immediately blogged about AdAuction. I figured out it would be an experiment. Do the people who read blogs only care about stuff like reviews, tips, recaps, etc? How about personal thoughts and opinions (which I blog about)? Anyway I guess my conclusion is people read posts that belong to a certain niche. if you blog about random thoughts, nobody would care. Which is perfectly reasonable...hehehe. Here is the link to that blog which linked to me: http://shop.bli

The World Inside the Operating Room

Today I was so lucky to be assigned in the Operating Room. The whole week I was so anxious about this day. I was so scared that I might make a mistake which will cost a patient's life. I was pleasantly surprised about the whole Operating Room experience. It was a whole new world in there! People while evidently stressed, still manage to crack up jokes at each other! The surgeon at one time even shooed away the people crowding beside the OR table. To me it incited so much fear and anger towards the surgeon but to the staff it seemed normal and part of everyday life in the Operating Room. Another thing peculiar about the OR is the hand signals. Boy, you have to be imaginative to get their signals. Almost everything is communicated through signs. What I love about the OR is the team work. People really work together. It is as if there is this invisible conductor who makes things run smoothly. The most difficult thing I think about being an OR nurse is that fact that there is

Julia Campbell: The Philippines' Unsung Heroine

Recently, we have all heard about Julia Campbell, the US peace corps volunteer who was found dead last week. In the news, there was something about Julia's blog. The reporter read some excerpts from her blog and it got me instantly on the computer searching for Julia Campbell's blog . The woman's blog is amazing! It was really really interesting to read about a New Yorker's account of the Filipino way of life. Most of her observations were just hilarious like how Filipinos eat so much rice, how pinoy toilets are without tissue paper (those in the rural areas), and how pinoys love to sing and party. There were bad traits that she pointed out as well which were all undeniably true. For one, Filipinos don't have a sense of commitment. As Julia said, she had a hard time making the people proactive. Deadlines weren't met, meetings weren't attended to on time, etc. Julia cited one time when she was asked for weighing scales and all the barangay had to do was t

Auction.ph's AdAuction --> http://ad.auction.ph/

Just a few minutes ago, I have received an email from Auction.ph about their latest "innovation" AdAuction . The first time I read their email, the immediate thing that came to my mind was Google's adsense. I thought: finally, a pinoy version! But as I began exploring the website of AdAuction, I realized it was going to be much like Ebay's affiliate program. Nevertheless, AdAuction signals a milestone for Auction.ph. I think credit is due to the marketing department of Auction.ph. They have been doing a very good job in attracting customers through schemes such as free load for referrals, etc. AdAuction will surely propel Auction.ph to the top. Of course, that is dependent on the response of website owners and bloggers. Ads will be randomly fed, no content filtering yet. Though AdAuction says this will be available in the future. Number of ads that will be shown can be specified and there is no limit. Users can select between image and text ads. Ads are also avail

Smorgasboard Review by ourblogreview.com

Everything I know that you might want to know Now this personal blog comes from a strapping lad in the Philippines. He informs us on the ongoing's of his life and how he is feeling. It is interesting to read other personal blogs from people that are from other Countries. The site is somewhat clean in looks. The colors are different but go well. Ratings: 7.5/10 for content 7/10 for viewingpleasure 6.5/10 overall Problems with it: Though some posts are long it needs to be updated more. If updated regularly This blog would have potential. REVIEWED BY GREG This review can be found here My website (Pinoy Penster Community) was also reviewed... Pinoy Penster Community The purpose of the site is not immediately obvious to the casual visitor, but a little investigation reveals that is a literary forum for Filipino writers. Contributors may write stories, poems, songs and prose in several languages and dialects and have them reviewed and posted for others to read. There
