14 Call Center Interview Questions & Answers

The call center industry is one of the fastest growing in the country these days. As recently as ten years ago, there were only a few call center agents and the word call center was hardly ever used in the country. Today, almost every family has at least one member working in the call center industry. The reason for this boom is partly economics. In the Philippines, low paying jobs are very notorious and while call centers set up shop here because of the low labor costs, Filipinos decide to work for the call center industry because it pays higher than average wages. Consider this: if you are an average worker with an entry level position, you probably are getting paid seven to ten thousand a month; meanwhile, an average employee in the call center industry with an entry level position will get around fifteen thousand pesos a month, plus free dental and health benefits (HMO). Call centers also will pay your SSS (Social Security), PAGIBIG (home building fund), and PhilHealth (health ins

Celebrating International Museum Day at Yuchengco Museum

It's that time of year when admission to museums is free. Yes, it's international museum day once again! This year, I decided to visit a museum that I have heard of and passed by maybe hundreds of times already since it is located in the same building as the company I used to work for.

Located inside RCBC Plaza, the Yuchengco museum features mostly memorabilia related to the company and its owners. They also have some Rizal memorabilia and art related to the national hero since the founder was a Knights of Rizal member.

The Yuchengco Museum also houses two Juan Luna paintings.

There is an entire section of the museum dedicated to Jose Rizal memorabilia which belong to the descendants of Leonor Rivera. I had the pleasure of viewing the entire collection right in Leonor Rivera's ancestral house back when I visited a friend in Camiling, Tarlac several years ago. I even got to meet Leonor Rivera's ancestors! It's nice to see that this collection is finally in a museum.

This is my favorite piece in the museum. It is a painting by Juan Senson titled River View of Hacienda de Angono. The painting depicts a group of men goofing around. One of them is caught in the middle of doing the Chicken dance.

The last time I was in this building was to get my last paycheck so I felt emotional seeing it again as a free man.

Sitting outside of the Yuchengco museum in the middle of the RCBC Plaza courtyard is a sculpture that reminds us that we have to fight for our freedom everyday.
