Is the government losing control?

 

According to this article, the media is doing a bad job at setting the public's expectations when it comes to the vaccines.

Addressing the issue of misinformation stemming from breakthrough cases is increasingly important, because as more people get vaccinated, more cases — including severe ones — will occur in the vaccinated population, said Devon Greyson, public health researcher at The University of British Columbia.  

“Vaccination is an amazing technology, but it isn’t a magic forcefield,” Greyson said.

So why are governments around the world behaving as if they are?

Is there a disconnect between government policy and realistic expectations from the vaccine? 

If indeed the vaccine only guarantees healthy individuals absolute protection, did they need it in the first place?

According to data from the WHO, if you are less than 40 years of age, there is less than one percent chance of dying IF you get Covid. And let us not forget as well that there is a lot of talk that they include both people who die FROM Covid and people who die WITH Covid in the death tally.

This really begs the question why governments around the world are touting vaccines as the only way out of the pandemic. 

Is it their way of keeping control over the populace? 

I was watching Chernobyl, a HBO series wherein the leader of a group of miners refused to wear a mask because he saw that the government official wasn't wearing one either. He told him, "if these worked, you'd be wearing one yourself."

Are the vaccines, along with the lockdowns, masks, and faceshields being imposed on us by the government simply to provide us with a false sense of security?

Centuries ago, people would have looked to the Church for answers and salvation. People would have prayed fervently for God to put an end to the pandemic however, today we live in a technocratic society where we look to "experts" for answers and salvation.

In exchange for increased taxation and giving up civil liberties, big government has promised us safety and protection. Today, we see that the emperor has no clothes and that big governments are no match for something as mundane as a plague.

As big governments break the social contract between them and their citizens, will we see people take back power from their masters as we have seen happen time and time again throughout history?
