14 Call Center Interview Questions & Answers

The call center industry is one of the fastest growing in the country these days. As recently as ten years ago, there were only a few call center agents and the word call center was hardly ever used in the country. Today, almost every family has at least one member working in the call center industry. The reason for this boom is partly economics. In the Philippines, low paying jobs are very notorious and while call centers set up shop here because of the low labor costs, Filipinos decide to work for the call center industry because it pays higher than average wages. Consider this: if you are an average worker with an entry level position, you probably are getting paid seven to ten thousand a month; meanwhile, an average employee in the call center industry with an entry level position will get around fifteen thousand pesos a month, plus free dental and health benefits (HMO). Call centers also will pay your SSS (Social Security), PAGIBIG (home building fund), and PhilHealth (health ins...

Universal Basic Income: Is the Kingdom of God Truly at Hand?

According to this Forbes article, businesses now more than ever, are racing against time to adapt automation and yes, artificial intelligence. Amidst the prospect of a reset, many businesses are looking to invest more on automation than in rehiring people. This spells a disaster for many furloughed workers who have been expecting a V-shaped economic recovery.

When I was still working, I remember reading an article wherein a famous billionaire said that we all will have to adopt a universal income once the fourth industrial revolution takes place. I remember thinking that that will probably never happen in my lifetime. Today, the idea of a universal basic income (UBI) is gaining ground with no less than the pope calling for it to alleviate the plight of so many people brought about by the pandemic.

A month ago, Spain became the first country to propose a universal basic income and is now expected to approve the program next week (albeit only for the poor).

In the US, especially among college students, the idea of a universal basic income is very popular. In fact, an article I read, proposes that the democratic nominee Joe Biden, support UBI in order to attract college voters.

Is this the death of the republic? More and more, a socialist world is becoming a very possible reality in the near future. The book of Revelations foretells a time of hyperinflation: “two pounds of wheat for a day's wages, and six pounds of barley for a day's wages, and do not damage the oil and the wine!” Will this be because of increased taxes that will be used to fund a universal basic income?

While truly artificial intelligence is not yet a reality, here's something for you to consider. For several years, Stockfish has been the undisputed champion in almost all chess software tournaments in the world but in 2018, Google's software called AlphaZero which is programmed to learn games managed to beat Stockfish after a mere nine hours of trying to learn chess!

Even though we are definitely past the point of thinking that this is a man made virus, I can't shake off the feeling that somehow this crisis is being used to advance the agenda of the elites.
