14 Call Center Interview Questions & Answers

Image
The call center industry is one of the fastest growing in the country these days. As recently as ten years ago, there were only a few call center agents and the word call center was hardly ever used in the country. Today, almost every family has at least one member working in the call center industry. The reason for this boom is partly economics. In the Philippines, low paying jobs are very notorious and while call centers set up shop here because of the low labor costs, Filipinos decide to work for the call center industry because it pays higher than average wages. Consider this: if you are an average worker with an entry level position, you probably are getting paid seven to ten thousand a month; meanwhile, an average employee in the call center industry with an entry level position will get around fifteen thousand pesos a month, plus free dental and health benefits (HMO). Call centers also will pay your SSS (Social Security), PAGIBIG (home building fund), and PhilHealth (health ins

Invisible

Last night, my best friend told me that his brother had a dream about me. In this dream, I was invisible but my best friend kept on insisting to his brother that I was there. Finally, my best friend's brother asked my best friend to tell me to move something in the house to prove that I was there. He was very surprised when I did. What was weird about all this is that I have never met my best friend's brother before. Do you ever feel invisible? Too many people in this world feel like they are invisible. They think that their lives don't matter. More often than not, this leads us to think that we have to become a world leader or a great innovator like Steve Jobs to not be invisible. However, in classical works such as the book of Ecclesiastes, the wise author proclaims that all things in this world are vanities. Legacies are vanities. Wisdom and wealth are vanities. Because, dear friends, as powerful as they might seem to us today, all the celebrities, politicians, and

COMELEC Precinct Finder: How to Find your Precinct

Image
It is election season once more. It is that time again when politicians will sing and dance, bash each other, and tell you everything that you want to hear, all in the name of getting your vote.  As part of my civic responsibility, I had been reminding friends and acquaintances to register for the 2023 Barangay and SK Elections. If you have already registered for the 2023 elections, it is now time to know your polling center and precinct number. Having these information in hand on election day will drastically reduce the amount of time you spend in the voting process. Here is a step by step guide on how to find your precinct number. 1. First, visit  https://precinctfinder.comelec.gov.ph/voter_precinct . 2. Click on 'Continue' to signify consent that you are allowing COMELEC to process your data. You will now be directed to COMELEC's Precinct Finder. 3. Fill in your data. Make sure to tick the 'I'm not a robot' checkbox. After successfully verifying that y

The Little Prince in Different Philippine Languages

Image
The Little Prince is one of those books which has a different meaning for different people depending on which stage of their life they find themselves in. It's almost like the bible which can be interpreted in several different ways. The Little Prince is a book about relationships and how to think like a child. It also has some references to spirituality especially towards the end of the book. While it has the distinction of being the second most translated book after the bible, surprisingly it still hasn't been translated to many Philippine languages. Currently, The Little Prince is only available in Tagalog (Filipino), Bikol and Chavacano. The Philippines has eight major languages so we still have a long way to go. 😙 Where and How to Buy The Little Prince in Tagalog (Filipino) Online Price: P129.00 Website:  http://claretianpublicationsbookstore.com/books/pastoral/ang-munting-prinsipe At National Bookstore It is available in selected National Bookstore branches

Philippine International Pyromusical Competition at SM MOA Review

Image
Spending good money to watch fireworks is one of my guilty pleasures in life. Well, who doesn't like fireworks? I mean I always thought that they were the closest that man has ever gotten to recreating sunrises and sunsets. Difference Between Silver, Gold, VIP, and Patron with Dinner My friend and I have been watching the Philippine International Pyromusical Competition at SM MOA almost every year since 2010. The first time, we just watched it from afar because we didn't want to pay for a ticket. But over the past few years, we were able to watch the Philippine International Pyromusical Competition with a Silver, Gold, VIP, and Patron with Dinner ticket. The Silver ticket will not give you a good vantage point. It is crowded and there are no chairs. The worst thing about it is that you don't see the entire fireworks display because you can only see the ones at the top but you do get to hear the music being played (which is the only difference between the Silv

8 Cool Things To Do In Binondo

Image
Did you know that Binondo is the oldest Chinatown in the world? This section of Manila is so full of history and it is a must-see for every traveler visiting Manila!  Here are eight cool things that you can do in Binondo. 1. Visit Binondo Church If you like old churches (like me), you definitely have to visit Binondo church. It's super cool because it has a pagoda-like bell tower. it is probably one of the most unique churches that you'll ever see in the country. 😲 Source: By Lawrence Ruiz - Own work, CC BY-SA 4.0, https://commons.wikimedia.org/w/index.php?curid=51373004 2. Eat Dumpling at Wai Ying I first ate at Wai Ying seven years ago because of a friend's recommendation. I have since been eating there every time I visit Binondo. Wai Ying looks like one of those very old restaurants in Binondo that serve authentic Chinese food. Their prices are very budget-friendly and their food is so good. I especially like their Fried Dumplings, Fried Rice, Radish Ca
